In active development for Mac & Windows · works with Teams, Zoom & WebEx
Pause the noise,
present with poise.
HoldUp turns your camera into a controllable presentation feed. Pause it while you draw, pull up a file, or just collect yourself — your audience only ever sees the finished thought, never the scramble in between.
Try it — this is the actual pill you’ll use.
Viewers see your real screen, live.
How it works
Three steps. Instant poise.
Select HoldUp as your camera
Turn your camera on in Teams, WebEx, or Zoom and choose “Hold Up” as the device. Then, in the HoldUp app itself, pick which display to share and click Start Sharing — that’s what actually starts the feed. Still no native Share Screen button involved.
Pause the instant you need to
Tap the floating pill or hit ⌥P from anywhere on your computer. Viewers see a calm, frozen frame while you do whatever you actually need to do.
Mark it up, then resume
Highlight, box, or point with HoldUp’s drawing tools, quickly bring up multiple file types with the built-in File Shelf — then hit ⌥P again and you’re back live.
The one rule
HoldUp rides your camera, not your meeting app’s Share Screen button. Leave native screen-share off entirely — if it’s on at the same time, it shows your real desktop no matter what HoldUp is doing. The Hold Up camera tile is the share.
What’s inside
Four tools, one hand’s reach away.
Pause / Resume
⌥PFreeze the outgoing frame the instant you need to step away — from any app, any window, anywhere on your computer.
Draw
⌥DHighlighter, rectangle, and Pulse Arrow annotation, right on your frame, in four colors — built in because your meeting app’s native markup tools can’t see HoldUp’s feed.
File Shelf
⌥FA shelf of preloaded documents and images, one click from anywhere mid-call — no more hunting through Finder while people wait.
Pulse Arrow
⌥AA translucent arrow that follows your cursor to point at exactly what matters, without leaving a permanent mark.
Why it matters
Never say “hold on, let me find that” in front of the room again.
Notifications, DMs, and desktop clutter stay yours — and only yours.
You look composed and in control, every single time.
Nothing new for your audience to learn, install, or click.
FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
Is HoldUp a screen-share tool?
Not in the way you’d expect. HoldUp runs as a camera, not through your meeting app’s Share Screen button. You turn your camera on and choose “Hold Up” as the device — that video tile is your share. See “The One Rule” above for why this matters.
Why doesn’t my meeting app’s own annotation work with HoldUp?
Because HoldUp isn’t going through Teams’, WebEx’s, or Zoom’s native screen-share pipeline — it’s a camera feed, and those apps don’t know HoldUp exists. That’s exactly why we built Draw directly into HoldUp: Highlighter, Rectangle, and Pulse Arrow tools that composite straight onto your outgoing frame.
What do I need to install?
HoldUp runs as a macOS Camera Extension — a small system-level driver, approved once per Mac under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions. After that, any app that can pick a camera can pick HoldUp.
Does my audience need to install anything?
No. They just see a normal camera tile in the meeting — nothing to download, click, or explain.
